Good question, me!

This site is my love letter to the nearly lost art of making awesome fucking albums.  Not to  say that it doesn’t still happen…but it seems less and less these days .

This is my attempt to inform and entertain the general public about music they may or may not know about.  If you are as big a muisc freak as I am, there probably won’t be many surprises here for you, but for the John and Jane Q. Publics out there, this is a good starting point for discovering new sounds.

Some stuff is old, some is brand spanking new.  There will be albums you’ll recognize, but others may have slipped through the cracks.  I stick to albums that are solidly good…as in all thew way through, with as little or no filler if possible.  This also includes compilations, soundtracks and mixtapes.

Why?  Because I said so.

nice list so far, and while i’m sure you have a long ways to go, my first suggestion would be Paul’s Boutique from the Beastie Boys. The sample catalog on that album alone makes P.Diddy look like a petty thief compared to the Dust Brothers.

yoooo this site is ridiculously true… honestly, it broadened my music range so much! it’s hard to find good music sometimes these days, i agree. sometimes its easier if i go back to like the 90s hip hop and the 70s soul and rock! Anyway, keep em coming cuz im really digging these records! 🙂
    yaaaay music!
